When you are rebuilding your front end, you'll want to thoroughly inspect your control arms for pits, cracks, worn ball joints, and worn bushings. You can rebuild your own control arms but what a time consuming hassle! First, you'll need to find a machine shop to press your new bushings in place. Then, you'll need an air-hammer or a torch to remove your ball joints. Buy new upper and lower control arms from others, and you'll pay a core charge up front. Then you'll have to send your dirty, greasy control arms back to receive credit (and that can take weeks.
