Your 1963-1982 Corvette has gas shocks. Over time, they age and leak oil. As they leak, the shock will foam and can overheat making your Corvette not absorb bumps in the road as it should. It also affects handling because it can't react as fast as it should. In that case, you'll notice more body roll and a bouncy ride. The solution is new gas shocks. Bilstein shocks may increase the ride height of the car approximately one-half inch if the car has settled due to worn suspension components.
