Eckler???s Stage V Premium Street Handling Kit totally restores ride and handling for the 1963-79 Corvette, plus elevates street ride and handling to a new level. Suspension parts wear slowly, gradually compromising ride and handling. Eckler???s Stage V Kit instantly delivers flatter handling, more response to steering commands and a fluid smooth ride for the Corvette. We have carefully selected bigger sway bars, polyurethane bushings & end links coupled with Bilstein shocks, to reduce body roll, maintain front suspension geometry and control unwanted body motion. The front springs are re-designed for increased spring rate, lowers the front end ??-1 inch for improved handling and reduces nose dive under braking without compromising ride quality. The use of polyurethane bushings in the front control arms will maintain front suspension geometry and last a long time. In the rear, we recommend upgrading to a composite rear spring to retain ride height and return a smooth ride. Next, we recommend Adjustable Smart Struts. This suspension upgrade changes the rear geometry to reduce unwanted camber change for improved tire contact. The rear tires tread remains flatter for more even tire wear, better traction and cornering power. Installation requires above average mechanical ability and basic hand tools.
