This stylish 8-position tilt column is designed to fit your 1968 Corvette and does NOT require modification to your original vehicle to install. It comes complete with a pre-welded under dash mount, a floor mount designed specifically for this column, as well as a wiring harness adapter. A rag joint is used to attach the column to the gearbox and is required for installation. The original rag joint may be used as long as it's in good working condition, but it is recommended that you purchase a new one. Using an adapter, add an aftermarket wheel or use your original steering wheel with the help of the ididit 1968 Corvette Steering Wheel Adapter.

Using an ididit installation kit, install your new steering column in place of the old. Using an adapter, add an aftermarket wheel or use your original steering wheel with the help of the ididit 1963-66 Corvette Steering Wheel Adapter. Please note the space differences when using the original steering wheel vs an aftermarket wheel.

Steering Wheel Adapter Required:

• 1969 or Newer GM Passenger Car (for Aftermarket Wheel)
• 3, 5, 6, and 9 Bolt patterns available
• 1968 Corvette Steering Wheel Adapter (for Original Wheel)

Rag Joint:  A rag joint is a vibration reducer used between your column and gearbox. In some vehicles, the original rag joint is pressed onto the lower shaft of the column. If your rag joint has a pressed fit, it will need to be replaced. If your rag joint is removable, the original may be used. Please consider however that due to age, the original rag joint may be worn so please double check to make sure it is in good working condition. ididit, inc. always recommends replacing the rag joint.
