Eckler’s Stage III Handling Kit recommends refreshing the springs for the 1963-79 Corvette. Springs like other components wear so gradually most drivers don’t realize they are bad until they notice the car is sagging or sitting uneven. Restore ride height and reduce unwanted suspension movement with new springs. In this kit we recommend upgrading the front springs to an easier to install, higher spring rate (550lbs.) spring. Its unique design lowers the front end ½ to 1 inch for improved handling and the higher rate reduces unwanted nose dive under braking. Refreshing the rear spring greatly improves ride quality by retaining the factory arch design and retains factory spring rate. Installation is easy with average mechanical ability and basic hand tools.
