On C4 coupes the original GM rear roof panel weatherstrip does an extremely good job of sealing, but unfortunately lacks great durability. GM weatherstrip (P/N A2906-1) is still available though it's very expensive. As an alternative, Eckler's offers the best reproduction rear roof panel weatherstrip on the market and it is far less costly. Besides doing an outstanding job of sealing, like the original, this weatherstrip is made from a modern, long-lasting synthetic rubber called ethylene propylene diene monomer or EPDM giving it great durability. The EPDM has a smooth urethane coating, which prevents water absorption and gives it a non-stick surface so the windows operate smoothly and the roof panel won't stick to the weatherstrip tearing it apart. Produced to GM factory specifications, this weatherstrip is as soft as the original.
